The recent studies made by health specialists shows that the number of infants dying are dropping. The rate dropped by two percent this year. However, even though the baby death rate drooped, it's still pretty high. What does this mean? It means that a lot of americans still have poor or no health care. And that is a major problem that should be corrected by the government in this next presidential election.
Why does health care have to be a privilege only obtainable by the rich. I think health care should be for everyone, health care should be universal. Our neighbors, the canadians have universal health care and they seem to be doing fine. There was a movie that came out no so long ago. It focused on health care systems around the world. The records recorded from the video shows that having universal health care does not make health care less professional or lag in time. The only thing less is the amount of money you pay for visits. We americans pay too much money on health care when we shouldn't need to. The only ones benefiting from our system of health care are the insurance companies. A black male recently died; I don't know his name. His death was preventable but his insurance company found out that he was not covered. Therefore they found it easier to just let him die. (They make more money by letting us die? Thats mess up)
Even if universal health care lowers the quality of health care. (which it doesn't, its been proven. Ex: Canada) Would you rather receive health care or not receive any because your insurance company tells you that you're not covered.
I think it's great that the deaath rates of infants are decreasing but I think we need to do more for americans. Having universal health care, I think, will benefit everyone. Lets say that universal health care sucks. So? If it doesn't work out then we can go back to the health pirate program we've been having. The thing is if we change I don't think americans will l want to go back.
(This weeks article is kinda different, I hope I didn't offend anyone who hates Universal health care)
