The line drawn

There’s this line dividing us. This line drawn across the earth defines the boundaries as it trails. It’s hard to say why the line was drawn up in the first place. I find myself questioning the fact that we allow this line to divide us. We were always told when we were little to accept each other’s differences and yet we seem to do the opposite. If this line is erasable then why don’t we erase it? We greed over our possessions and push others away. We make fun of the nerdy kid in math class for getting the answer correct. We snitch on our co-workers to get them fired. This line is starting to get annoying.
The process of growing is strange. When we were kids we have numerous dreams and things we desire to get accomplish. When I play around with my little cousin I've found that to be true. Even though I got him trap in corners he tries and tries to break my guard and to get through. Wether he knows it or not, it was hopeless but I've never heard him say, "I quit". Too often do I hear people around me complain about the issues they have. I believe every problem has an answer and If you work hard to solve that problem than the answer will be apparent. However, sometimes it's not the issues we have but the dreams we lost. I've spoken to many of my friends who has graduated already and nearly all of them say that they have no goals. They are merely doing what there parents want them to do. I find that depressing. Dreams are what makes us humans different from other animals. It's the foundation for all the things we see today. Ever gone to McDonalds? Ok, then you must know that it was the product of someone's dream. ( Now, whether McDonald is helping society or harming it is another story)Those dreams die when we reach our teen years. We focus more on our public image and the popularity status we can gain. We ignore the people we could get along with and hang with the ones we think are cool. We fall under peer pressure easily; if we were kids we have a better chance. We ignore our family and become self-centered. We think that only we have problems and lazy ourselves. Once we reach adulthood, we tend to change ourselves even more. We find the need to change the way we talk and the way we act. We act nice to everyone we see as a way of reminding ourselves we've made it. We act more responsibly by going to work and owing properties. We try to fit into society by starting a family. Our attitudes of life has now completely morph. For the rest of our lives we will never look back to how we were. And if we do, we think of ourselves as a kid as unsuccessful. According to scientists, how we act when we are a kid is how we will act when we grow up. I don't think that's true. The only way to regain your true self is to remember and re-grow into the person you once were; before life hits.
Was growing up really that bad? Why do we tend to lose our true self in the process of growing up. When we were kids, we can express ourselves without the hesitation. When we were kids, we accomplish so much that maybe our successful years are behind us. We've master the art of friendship, learning to walk, speaking, thinking, and most importantly to never give up. It's apparent that as we get older, we tend to give up easier.
I think that if we can think back to when we were kids and adore ourselves, than we can regain some of that enthusiasm for life that we had when we were kids. It's true you get wiser as you grow but you also get lost in the details of life and lose parts of whom you once were. If we don't take time to review the choices we make in life and the personality we've develop constantly, than sooner or later we will define ourselves as unknown.

Babies Are Dying less?

The recent studies made by health specialists shows that the number of infants dying are dropping. The rate dropped by two percent this year. However, even though the baby death rate drooped, it's still pretty high. What does this mean? It means that a lot of americans still have poor or no health care. And that is a major problem that should be corrected by the government in this next presidential election.
Why does health care have to be a privilege only obtainable by the rich. I think health care should be for everyone, health care should be universal. Our neighbors, the canadians have universal health care and they seem to be doing fine. There was a movie that came out no so long ago. It focused on health care systems around the world. The records recorded from the video shows that having universal health care does not make health care less professional or lag in time. The only thing less is the amount of money you pay for visits. We americans pay too much money on health care when we shouldn't need to. The only ones benefiting from our system of health care are the insurance companies. A black male recently died; I don't know his name. His death was preventable but his insurance company found out that he was not covered. Therefore they found it easier to just let him die. (They make more money by letting us die? Thats mess up)
Even if universal health care lowers the quality of health care. (which it doesn't, its been proven. Ex: Canada) Would you rather receive health care or not receive any because your insurance company tells you that you're not covered.
I think it's great that the deaath rates of infants are decreasing but I think we need to do more for americans. Having universal health care, I think, will benefit everyone. Lets say that universal health care sucks. So? If it doesn't work out then we can go back to the health pirate program we've been having. The thing is if we change I don't think americans will l want to go back.
(This weeks article is kinda different, I hope I didn't offend anyone who hates Universal health care)

Dying Recognition

Does knowing one is going to die change the way one live its life? If we accept the fact that our body will meet the ground one day, will living be easier? Should we still struggle through life only to find our success a failure in the end? What happens after we die? Questions of this thought should once or more enter the thoughts of everyone.
Dying is natural, we humans are different than other animals on earth. We have a conscious and we have the understanding of the environment, including the understanding of death. I believe that knowing about death can be beneficial to us humans. With the understanding of death, we use our technologies to prolong life, while other animals are living by fate. We have the ability to drug ourselves until the very last breath. But, can we really say living a long life is living a good one? You can live a long life and it could just be a life that lust for death. Recognizing death will make us live longer but that doesn't mean we will have a good experience living long.
When you get old, your body becomes fragile, and your senses becomes null. You transition yourself back to the beginning, being like a kid again. Your children, now grown up, sees you as a child and ignores you most of the time. In society you are the nobodies whose clock is ticking. You can't help but to think of death that will relieve you of the pain. If you live this long your friends and others will be long dead and you will soon to join them. This depressing situation does make one gloomy, but knowing about death can also be beneficial.
To those who see death as a positive thing, then death can improve the attitude needed to live a good life. Knowing about death and realizing the truth, one can live everyday to the fullest, never wasting a minute and only sleeping when necessary.
No matter what anyone thinks, it's ultimately up to the individual what his input on death is. If you have a positive attitude about life and death then you will probably be better off. Constantly reminding yourself of death can make you insane, drowning yourself in misery when you shouldn't need to.
I believe death should be search be everyone carefully, define what things in your life makes it worth wild and stick to it. Don't pursue the things that makes others happy, because your happiness is more important than anything else. Basically, care for yourself before you care for others is what I'm trying to say.
